  • Cates Park Music Festival

    [Read: it's a Festival Package] Cates Park Music Festival is a free festival put on by not-for-profit organization, MusArt. Local performers gather every weekend to provide summer entertainment to the public. Design requirements included a billboard, tabloid sized poster, two cd designs, jewel case design, and eight page booklet to accompany the CDs.

    [Read: It’s book jackets] In hopes of jettisoning the stigma surrounding the graphic novel writing style, which associates them with adolescent pass-time, an entirely new book cover style was adopted for the Alan Moore book series. The typical comic book style was abandoned in favour of a sophisticated, subtle finish.

    [Read: It’s a children’s story] The concept of monsters living under the bed is an old notion, and therefore a difficult subject to find a fresh approach. As a result, the literal interpretation of “finding a new perspective” inspired “The Boy Above My Bed,” and the perspective shifted from the child, to the monster. This quickly provided the framework from which the other elements could grow.

It provides the perfect ratios, of the perfect ingredients in one cohesive set. Complicated French recipes are uncomplicated, and result in flawless, effortless baked goods.

In a society which clearly has a fondness for costumes, costume packaging is a natural problem worth solving for any designer. Combine that with a society that adores a quick fix, and too often finds themselves overworked and out of time, and the result is clear: emergency costume packaging.

  • Fables of Far Far Away

    [Read: It’s a board game] Fables of Far Far Away is a redesign of the board game, Settlers of Catan. Fables of Far Far Away maintains the same archaic era, but takes the game in a more whimsical, magical, fairy tale direction. The game play was left intact, however the framing and interpretation of the objective were contorted sufficiently that they are seemingly entirely different goals.
